HeyyThere lets you send a "heyy" to the people you care about: a push notification that opens a small animation on their phone. It is a way to say "I'm thinking of you" without starting a conversation. There is no chat, no feed and no likes count to chase. You add people to circles, tap their picture, and they get your heyy.
Yes. Invite them from the app, share the invitation link, and send your first heyy right away. Your heyys are waiting in their inbox as soon as they install the app and claim their account.
A heyy is meant to be a small, meaningful nudge, so the app spaces them out: after sending one to a contact you wait a little before you can send the next one to the same person. The app tells you how long.
Yes. HeyyThere is free to download and use, with no subscription and no ads. The classic heyy animation and your three circles are included. If you like, you can unlock premium animations or add extra circles, through one-time in-app purchase.
Yes. Every purchase is optional and a one-time unlock, never a subscription. If you change phones, open the store inside the app and your items are restored at no cost.
Purchases go through Apple and Google, so refunds are handled on their own request pages. For anything else about a purchase, message us from the app.
As little as possible. We only use what the app needs to work: your name and phone number for your account, your device to deliver notifications, and the heyys you send. No ads, and we will never sell your data. Details in our Privacy Policy.
No. Your contact list never leaves your phone. Only the contacts you invite individually are stored, with just their name and phone number, so they can claim their account when they join.
Yes. The best way to protect data is to not collect it, so we built the app to use and store as little personal information as possible: just your name and phone number to secure your account. Your phone number is verified by a one-time code at login, and the app talks to our servers over an encrypted connection. Every heyy is only visible to you and the person you sent it to.
At any time, from the settings inside the app. Your profile, contacts and inbox are removed as described in our Privacy Policy. There is nothing to email and no questions asked.
Only the people in your circles. There is no public profile, no search by name and no directory. Someone can only find you if you invited them or they invited you with your phone number.
Parents and family members, friends and best friends, life partners... Everyone with whom you want to stay close without the pressure of a conversation. We use it with our own family members. We built an honest and decent app that we use ourselves.
HeyyThere is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Teenagers can use it with their own phone number, with their parents' agreement where the law requires it.
Heyys arrive as push notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for HeyyThere in your phone's settings, and that they are switched on in the app's settings sheet. Every heyy you received is also waiting in your inbox, the cloud icon on the home screen.
The person may not have installed the app yet, or may have signed up with a different phone number than the one you invited. Long-press their slot to check the number and resend the invitation.
From the app: open the settings sheet on the home screen and tap Send feedback. Your message reaches us from your logged-in account, so we can act on it without asking you to prove who you are. More on our Support page.
